WebGrid Community Server

Hi,

We have setup up an master & detail grids and everything is working fine.

However i would like to know if it is possible to insert the master and details rows at the same time.
Basically we have an orders master grid with the products on detail. We wish to insert the products at the same time as the master record , since it is confusing for the client to insert the order and then have to edit to insert the produts.

Is it possible?

Also , is it possible to insert records directly in grid mode?

Hi,

Yes you can!

Use the grid events to insert master and details rows at the same time. You can do this with 'before' or 'after' updateinsert events.

It is not supported to directly add new records in the grid mode. You can add support for this by grid events by overriding the "new record".
